Graduation Part 2

We had a large group of close to 20 family & friends
come to celebrate Graduation.

So you can imagine, when it came time for picture taking
it was like our own Paparazzi had arrived!

Here are more fun shots of graduation day!

friends and the boys

lots and lots of family pics

We went out to dinner at a favorite mexican restaurant of the grad.
We had a table filled for 20 or so.

Such a fun time with everyone.
Graduation was a fun weekend!

Graduation

Such an exciting day to see your child graduate from college!
We couldn't be prouder of the young man our son has become
and excited for him as a new journey is about to begin.

Here are a few highlights from the big day.

trying on the cap, happy parents, with the gf, friends & family finding seats

we found him walking in, all smiles on the big day,
shaking hands with the prof!

father & son, brothers, the whole family

I have many, many, many more pics to share but I thought it best
to share them in groups.
(otherwise it would be one very long picture fest)

Vacation !

We just had an amazing week! Our oldest graduated from college last Saturday. It was a wonderful morning and such a proud moment to hear his name be called and see him walk across the stage. He is off to graduate school this fall so we spent a fun family week together in San Diego! It was relaxing and fun and enjoyed by all. We just returned home this evening, so I still have lots of unpacking to do and LOTS of pics to download. So I will post about our adventures this coming week. Have a fun and safe Memorial weekend!

Yard Work

We had some yard work done to the house the last 2 months.
It could have been done in early April
but the rain came and came and came,
so the yard work had to wait.

Here is what we started with
A large area with LOTS of bark and some plants.

We wanted to have more room for parking,
a place for me to sit and watch the boys play,
an area for ping pong & an addition to a side patio.

Here are a few shots of the progress

Next came the gravel
(that's a whole lot of gravel)

Now we can start to see what it might look like

Concrete Day!

Well, the camera has had a malfunction,
so I can't post the finished pictures just yet.
It looks great and we really like how it turned out.
We will be able to enjoy Mother's Day
on the side patio tomorrow and play a little ping pong too.

(I am hoping to post the finished pictures soon)

Almost There

I am back on the workout path this week and feeling so good! I have moved up to level 2 of the Shred DVD and have done 3 days now. It is starting to feel good and I know I am headed in the right direction. I have added another 10 minutes of abs this week too. And tonight I am going to add an evening workout! There are only 10 more days until our son graduates, so it's time to step it up! I am not 100% at my goal yet but I get closer everyday. What I do know that is encouraging, is that I am in the best shape I have been in a very long time! I feel good and that is what is most important. I may not have the tone, flat abs yet but they will come. What is also good is that jeans, shorts, capris and skirts are all fitting better! Just love that! I hope everyone has a great week. I am looking forward to burning more calories!

Let's Go Fly A Kite

Today was perfect for spending some family time
outside together.

There were great wind gusts blowing around 20mph
so we knew just what to do.

Grab the kites!

M was able to get his Transformer kite flying high right away

R & Dad had a glider kite that liked to do a nose dive,
but they managed to get it flying after a bit

The boys really got into flying

It was a fun family night for us all!

May Already

We have quite an exciting month ahead. Our oldest graduates from college in a couple weeks! So incredibly proud of him! We are looking forward to a fun time with family & friends. I am going to do a 3 mile Arthritis Walk this weekend. My cousin and aunt both suffer with this illness so I am walking in their honor. I am excited to be doing something for them. Maybe next year I will have a couple of friends to walk with me. Mother's Day will be spent on our new patio with my parents. I am thinking BBQ, should be delicious. We have a special gift for both our moms but that is all I am saying :0) The Art Show is on Open House night. I am working hard to prep 86 projects for the show. I am making 2 teacher appreciation books and they are turning out so great! I can't wait to give them to our teachers! Those are most of the big things we have happening. There's all the everyday things too: baseball, mad science, work, laundry, playdates, and a whole bunch more. Hope your May is full of fun too!
