A Quick Catch Up

So let's see...what have we been up to...

baseball games (sometimes up to 4 & 5 a week)

mother/son night at school

field trips

family volunteering at church

birthday parties

Hope May is just as fun!

Prayers

The boys and I pray each morning on our way to school.

It is a short drive, maybe only 2 minutes,

but we make sure that's how the drive starts.

I started doing this with the boys just after the first of the year.

My goal was to do my best to

let the boys know the importance

of praying for others and caring for others.

My hope was that this would become a daily habit

for us and that it wouldn't just be a 

New Years Goal gone bad.

I am happy to say that it has become a part of our daily

routine and even more than that.

If I happen to forget to mention someone from the

day before, they are right on me saying,

"Mom, you didn't pray for..."

It fills my heart with joy to know that

this has become so much more than I had hoped it would be.

I love that they ask questions about who we are 

praying for.

It is also so nice to see answers to prayers.

I think my next step is to make a prayer journal

so we can see what a difference God is making!

They are both doing great this season.

We are enjoying the games

even if we are sometimes out 3-4 nights a week.

It's fun to see them having a great time!

Where Did The Time Go??!!

Never was it my intention to let this much time 

pass in between posts.

I just don't seem to have enough time in the day

to do all that I so want to do.

I find that I am counting down the days to summer

more than my boys are!

So, this is my attempt at a quick catch up,

as I need to leave in 10 minutes to take 

one to practice,

make a quick stop at the grocery store,

come home and start dinner,

eat dinner,

and then go back & pick up the kiddo.

March Madness

March Madness is upon our household

and I am not referring to college basketball :)

I am referring to our family schedule!

This month is the start of 2 boys playing ball

and 1 dad playing softball.

It is going to be an exciting season.

I am a Yankee fan and my worst nightmare has come true...

...our son was drafted onto the Red Sox!!!!

What am I to do??!!

He is so excited as this is his favorite team,

so now he has his own RS Jersey

and a Boston hat with his name embroidered on the back.

What I have is a kid in baseball heaven

and I suppose that is all the matters ;)

We are off to a scrimmage game now.

Season starts on Monday.

Can't wait!!!

March Already ??!!

WOW!!

I can't believe that tomorrow is March 1st!

(happy white rabbit day a few hours early)

I really meant to post more about all the fun 

that happened in February.

I guess we were having too much fun to stop 

and write about any of it!

I will do my best to be better in March.

I almost have all the pictures downloaded

and that's half the battle really.

Maybe this weekend I can spend a little

time catching up.

Oh My...It's February!!!

February

How did it become February already?!

I have had some fun adventures the last 3 weekends

which is partly why my posts have been

non existent lately.

I'll try and give a quick overview

and then post more details this next week.

The last weekend in Jan.

I was able to go on a women's retreat 

with our Bible Study.

Enjoyed being away with the girls from our study

and enjoyed being blessed.

The first weekend in Feb.

I had a great visit with 5 girlfriends from high school.

We are all turning 40 this year

so we started out the year 

by celebrating, laughing & remembering fun times.

This past weekend

I had my own early birthday getaway

with 4 good friends.

We went to Sonoma Wine Country 

and had a great time.
